It wasn’t long after I had Ellie that we would begin the process of packing up our house and moving on from Washington. Tony was going to train for a new career in the USAF at Vandenberg AFB in CA. I was taking the girls and heading back to MN to be with family for 4 months and then we would all be moving to Buckley AFB, CO.  We thought we better take advantage of living so close to Mt. Rainier since we may never see it again. Typical Washington fashion, it poured after we got to the top but it was still so beautiful. The wildflowers up there are so pretty, the evergreens are so bountiful,  you just feel majestic when visiting there.
