My parents, my girls, and I took a short little trip up north to see Bentleyville. Benlteyville is located in Duluth, Mn and is a beautiful tour of light displays. Its a free attraction and they supply some delicious snacks at no cost! Amaiah loved roasting marshmellows. Afterwards, we checked in at the South Pier...
I truly believe God sends certain people into our lives for a reason.
Sometimes, a client walks through my studio doors, and what starts as a photoshoot turns into a friendship I never saw coming. We end up talking about life, sharing stories, laughing like old friends, and connecting in a way that feels like we’ve known each other forever.
It reminds me that my job has never been just about taking pictures. It’s about the people I meet, the stories they share, and the little moments that remind me I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
I may think I’m the one capturing their memories, but sometimes I realize God sent them to me to be a part of mine, too.
And honestly, those connections are one of the greatest blessings of what I get to do.

The mountains witnessed the beginning of something beautiful.
A little love, a lot of adventure, and one tiny human on the way.

Take the photos. Even when you don’t feel beautiful. Even when you don’t love the way you look. Even when you’re convinced you need to lose 10 pounds first.
Because one day, you’re going to look back at these photos differently.
You won’t see the extra weight.
You won’t notice the wrinkles.
You won’t remember the bad hair day.
You won’t care that your outfit wasn’t perfect.
You’ll see you.
You’ll see the woman who was raising babies, building a career, loving her people, surviving hard seasons, laughing until her stomach hurt, and doing her best to hold it all together.
And you’ll wish you had more photographs of her.
Stop waiting to become the version of yourself you think is worthy of being photographed.
You are worthy right now.
Take the photos. Get in the frame. Let your people remember what you looked like, but more importantly, let them remember how you loved them.
Because someday, these photographs won’t be about how you looked.
They’ll be about how much you mattered. ❤️
Thank you Adena for these gorgeous photos.
