Meet Optimus Prime. We call him Ope, or Opie for short. He is a rescue pup from the Colorado Puppy Rescue.  I was so happy to find this non-profit on facebook of all places.  I have always been a big advocate of adopting pets from shelters you rescues. We signed up online the night before their big adoption event. It was first come first serve.  The next morning we went to the event and waited in line for our names to be called. It was so wonderful to see so many people in line waiting to rescue a pup. We were number 12. We saw Ope, number 438,  right away. He was given the number because he is the 438th dog rescued by this wonderful organization. How cool is that? He was a handsome mixed mutt with Husky, German Shepard, and Australian Cattle Dog. He was all curled up snoozing away in his crate. We knew we had see him. After about 5 minutes we knew he was ours. He was the last one left of his litter too. We filled out the paper work and 30 minutes later he was ours. We then brought him back to see his new home.  He has warmed up so well and loves his sisters.  Amaiah was exhausted after the adoption. She passed out right away on our floor. Opie walked right up to her and snuggled up for a nap. It was then we knew he was a perfect fit. Ellie hasn’t been sure what to think of all these puppy kisses. We know one thing for sure, she really loved his doggie bed! Tony is in complete heaven with him. We all love him so stinkin much except for maybe when he poops on the floor, but even then he is still adorable!! Welcome to the family Optimus!
