Most people would think that boudoir would need to be done in a studio. While I do have a studio for that purpose, there are a lot more options for boudoir in Colorado than that!
Rentals!
You can find some amazing deals on vacation homes on VRBO. A tip for scoring a great deal is to ask the owner if they have a weeknight open that they don’t think they will book. Most owners would prefer to book something than nothing. Ask them if they would be willing to rent it out to you for 4 hours. I have seen a beautiful large mountain home that normally rents for $600 a night offer their home for $100 for four hours! Why not even just book it for one night? Maybe you and your partner could enjoy a night away! Make it into a girls night! (Message me for mini sessions for bacheorette parties and girls night out)
Some things to keep in mind when searching for a Colorado boudoir vacation home is:
Privacy- Are there neighbors close by? Might not be a deal breaker but if you are looking for outdoor boudoir you want to find something with a little more privacy.
Decor- Does this location have your style of furniture? Is it super old and outdated? That would be great if your looking for vintage! Just be sure your okay with the look of the home in your photos.
Water-Does it have a hot tub, clawfoot tub, beautiful glass shower, or a lake? You can do some really fun and sexy things with water. It’s a great way to end a boudoir session.
Windows- Does it have a lot of natural light? The more windows the better. Although we can do some really moody lighting with less as well.
Hotels
There are a lot of hotels that will rent out a room for a half day and give you a great rate. It can be really fun to find a swanky downtown Denver hotel room that you would never normally have booked! Hotel Teatro is one another is Grant Humphreys Mansion in Capitol Hill.
Open Space/Nature
Yes, this is a more daring option but with the bountiful land here in Colorado we are sure to find some privacy among nature. There are some beautiful locations all over Colorado that would be perfect for this. Just remember bug spray and sunscreen!
Your own home
Your own space makes your session much more personal. There is just something about being in your own home that will make you feel much more comfortable. You don’t have to have a big or modern home to do this. Any space will work just great.
