Sammie’s Outdoor Boudoir

For her outdoor boudoir photoshoot we wanted something that was going to be fun, colorful, and playful. The pool was the perfect choice for our backdrop because it gives you all the summer vibes! Looking for wardrobe was pretty easy for Sammie. The first swimsuit I called the “Pool Party Barbie” look. Doesn’t it remind you of a Barbie swimsuit you had when you were young?  Victoria Secret Pink was the designer.  Her second two piece was also from Pink. The color was perfect for our outdoor boudoir look. Luckily Sammie also already had the blue beachaholic suit. Her Victoria Secret also supplied her outfits for her angel look. Sammie loves her photos and highly recommends trying outdoor boudoir!

Are you nervous about boudoir?

Swimsuits are a great option for showing off your curves without sporting lingerie. I have had lots of clients bring swimwear for their boudoir sessions. Their body looks amazing and they feel confident enough to show them off even on social media. You can also open up a whole new world of shopping locations. You can find swimsuits pretty much anywhere. They come in so many different shapes, styles, and some have built in tummy contouring! Some of my favorite online swim stores are CupShe and Fashion Nova. Ashley Graham launched an amazing line called Essentials for sizes 2-24. Just an idea for those of you who would like something less risqué and maybe less intimidating.

Denver Pin Up Photos

Are you on the hunt for Denver Pin Up Photos? If so, you have found the right photographer. As a Denver boudoir photographer, I love shooting pinup and vintage style boudoir. Pin up is a great way to try out boudoir because its got a fun retro vibe and therefore, pin up photos are more glamour based with a touch of seduction.  Who doesn’t want to look like a calendar girl for a day?

But what do I wear for my Pin Up Photos?

Old Hollywood is a major inspiration for pin up. A great way to start your pin up photoshoot would be with a glamorous gown because it will help you get comfortable in front of the camera without showing a lot of skin. Gowns can be super sexy showing off those curves! In my wardrobe collection, I have a couple dramatic old Hollywood robes for you to use as well. Another option for wardrobe is checking out Etsy. Etsy has a large variety of vintage lingerie. You can find some really unique slips, bras, and high waisted undies (I suggest just wearing a pair of your own underneath).  Maybe you want something new! Etsy also has designers that offer pin up style lingerie. One of my favorite websites for pin up clothing is Unique Vintage.

How should I do my hair and makeup?

Pin up hair and makeup can be difficult to attempt on your own. Lucky for you, I include professional hair and makeup with my photoshoots. My girls are trained professionals that can give you that unique pin up style. I suggest bringing a few photos for inspiration to show our artists so you can share the same vision.

BRIDAL BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY

What is it? To Ginny, bridal boudoir photography is intimate portraiture to capture one’s seductive personality in a timeless and classy manor.

I went through the same emotions most women do such as; being nervous and skeptical. Let me tell you. It was able to show me the way my husband sees me. Boudoir made me feel so beautiful and proud of my body even with the imperfections I thought I had.

What to bring to your Bridal Boudoir Session?

1. Clothing. We will shoot about 5 different outfits but I do suggest brining around 8 just so we have some options and I can help you choose the best pieces. Try bringing a variety of colors, styles, and textures such as; a bodysuit, lace bralette and panty set, a satin bra and underwear.
2. Veil. A veil puts the bride in bridal boudoir. Your veil has something of meaning. I am sure you shopped long and hard for your veil and fell in love with it when you found the one. This gives you a reason to wear it more than once too!
3. Gown. Hanging your wedding gown in the background is another subtle reminder of your wedding day. Its meaningful and again, gives you another reason to have it photographed more than once. We can even put it on you for some undressing shots. Ohh lala
4. High Heels. I suggest brining a few pairs of shoes that will match your outfit choices. High heels give you height which lengthen and slims the body in photos. Lets be real, heels are really sexy.
5. Garter. Because the day of your wedding not many will see this sexy band, be sure to photograph it in the manor it was meant to be. Sexy.
6. Engagement Ring. Don’t forget this one! Many jewelers offer free cleanings. A cleaning the day before would be a great time to make that ring shine!

What to expect the day of your Bridal Boudoir Session?

I will welcome you into the studio with a glass of champagne (or sparkling water). The changing room is set up with hooks for you to display all of your wardrobe. Together, we will walk through outfits and pick the best looks for our sets. After wardrobe, you will sit back and be treated to professional hair and makeup. Take this time to relax and enjoy being pampered. After you are all glam’d up, we will get the shoot rolling. If you are a bit nervous, which most are, I suggest we start shooting in the outfit that is the most modest and work up to the most revealing. Believe it or not, you will most likely forget your in lingerie by the end of your shoot. You will be that comfortable. I guide you through all the poses leaving the guesswork out for you. I work with women of all shapes and sizes and know how to accentuate your favorite (or his) favorite features.
