Of course if these props are not your jam, you don’t have to wear them. I have lots of other fun Christmas props if you wish. Be treated to professional hair and makeup while sipping champagne.

Denver Photography Shoot Out- One on One’s!

For sometime now I have wanted to offer a Denver Photography Shoot out. After being to several myself, I have witnessed a few things that can be frustrating.

Different lenses. Photographers have different preferred lenses and this can be issue when one photographer needs to be close to the subject with their wide lens while one might need to be way behind with their 70-22.
Usually there are 3 to 5 photogs to a model. This makes it difficult to get the shots you want, how you want, and take the time getting there. It can be stressful as others are watching you, giving you advice (wanted or unwanted), or snapping away as its your turn to shoot. It just gets chaotic. Even when each participant gets allotted a certain amount of time to shoot, it doesn’t always work out fairly.
I hate to say it but… drama. Unfortunately I have witnessed this at every single shoot out I have been to. Someone didn’t get enough time, someone didn’t move out of the way, someone was controlling, someone was mean… on and on and on. Who wants stress and drama when they are supposed to be enjoying their creative time they paid for?

So to avoid these problems, my solution is one on one shoot outs. Can I get an Amen?!

One on One Shoot Outs

Reap all the benefits from a styled shoot with me without having to fight other photogs for the best position. Choose from beauty, boudoir, maternity, mommy and me, or child photography. I will create a styled shoot for only you and I. I will take care of models, wardrobe, accessories, location, hair, and makeup. You must have basic knowledge of your camera as I will not be teaching photography 101. I will give you advice as to how I shoot, pose, light, and settings I am using. Let me know what concepts you have been dreaming about and I will do my best to bring your vision to life. Lets create some magic for your portfolio together!

My Studio

I have a studio in Denver near the Cherry Creek Country Club that has an amazing wardrobe. Full of maternity gowns, little girl dresses, formal flowy gowns, lingerie, specialty pieces, necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, floral crowns, you name it! I also share a space with Denver’s A list florist The Olive and Poppy who really brings a vision to life with florals. Another renter in my space is Have a Seat. He has the most amazing arbors and arches for rent. Its such a fun creative space! There is a large warehouse in the back as well with gorgeous natural light. This is an option to use for those wanting a studio or indoor setting. If weather is inclement this is where the shoot will be held as well.

Searching for a Fort Collins Boudoir Photographer? My Denver studio is just an hour drive or I travel to you! I love new locations and don’t mind the drive! Take a look at one of my latest sessions and then lets chat about your boudoir session!

Ms. L

Ms. L’s Shoot was amazing!! Her variety of looks were impeccable. The first set was a piece from my studio wardrobe, a Forever 21 velvet bodysuit. I love how this soft velvet look is a juxtapose to the straight bold shadows in the window. Morning light in the studio is so pretty because it just pours in and creates the most dramatic shadows.

Her next look was again another piece from the studio closet. She chose this gorgeous vintage Victoria Secret lingerie because she loved the bling and was so different from anything she brought along. Surprisingly she had brought heels that matched perfectly! Ms. L is extremely flexible therefore I knew I had to put her into some fun poses. I love how she was able to stretch her body out on top of the coffee table. Not an easy pose for anyone!

I created this really fun new set with a wood backdrop and hanging Edison lights. Because this is a moodier set, we choose her edgy rock and roll outfits for it. She even flashed her lip tattoo for a shot… shh… don’t tell her grandmother about that one! The spike bra and studded jacket were also from the studio wardrobe and such a fun bad ass look!

At the end of the shoot I asked her if we could put some white temporary tattoos on her. I have been dying to do a very boho inspired boudoir look and she was a great candidate because I knew those tattoos would pop against her skin tone. It took about 40 minutes to get them all on but it was so worth it. I love creating new and creative styles with boudoir. If you have a fun idea, I am just about always game!

Ms. D’s shoot was one for the books. Her choice of wardobe was so diverse therefore, she had an amazing variety of looks to order from. One of my favorite outfits was her coral bra and panty set which came from Fredericks of Hollywood. The color popped against her beautiful skin tone and also the wood plank wall. I also knew we had to rock some wings for her boudoir session because her white outfit screamed angel! I threw a little fan on her because I wanted to give her that extra super model look. Ms.D confidence really came out the more we shot which I love to see! Her man is going to be obsessed with these! Which look is your favorite?
