Beauty and Bloom Retreat

What an amazing day we had in Breckenridge! I loved giving this mama a whimsical maternity session. The columbine flowers were blooming so beautifully. The sunset had the most amazing painted colors in the sky. The temp was not too hot nor too cold. Our Beauty and Bloom retreat lucked out with this shoot out! I wanted to put together a set that had a taste of vintage. I bought this beautiful copper arch and hung curtains I found at a local thrift store from it along with dripping flowers and gems. My hope was that the sunset would catch those gems just enough to give them a bit of sparkle. I also had this beautiful gold vintage style birdcage chair that was adorned with flowers, butterflies, and fairy lights. If you know me, I will throw lights on any set just to give me a little more sparkle! Give our little video above a watch to see what it was like in person!

Pregnant in a Pandemic

What a time to be expecting huh? Who knew that 2020 was going to be such a crazy year for us? I feel for all the mamas that have had to go to ultrasounds alone, cancel baby showers, or forgo family at the hospital after their delivery. These are some strong mamas and my hat goes off to each and every one of them. I have been so thankful that I can at least give them the memories to look back on.

Parker CO Maternity Photographer

Abigail asked me to be her Parker CO Maternity Photographer this summer. She wanted to capture a piece of history while being pregnant and so we planned a shot with her mask on. (For our family photos this year we also took one photo with masks) Besides that, she also wanted to do a variety of styles and looks. I loved this derby black and white striped hat she brought in paired with a simple black bodysuit. Can you say Esquire material? She also picked out a few boho dresses that photographed beautifully in studio and on location. She braved the water and got into my fav little stream for her final look. Something is just so serene about getting in the water. You can bet I hopped in with her. I may or may not have almost fell a few times while holding my camera with a death grip above my head. It was worth the risk! Don’t you just love how her session turned out? She also reminds me of the gorgeous Jennifer Aniston. Do you agree?
