My parents, my girls, and I took a short little trip up north to see Bentleyville. Benlteyville is located in Duluth, Mn and is a beautiful tour of light displays. Its a free attraction and they supply some delicious snacks at no cost! Amaiah loved roasting marshmellows. Afterwards, we checked in at the South Pier Inn, which is located on the harbor in Duluth. My dad and I took a little midnight walk in the snow over the lift bridge to check out all the ice. We came back to enjoy a nice warm fire. The room was amazing and the views were even better. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
The next day we headed north, our first stop was Kitchi-Gammi Park. The ice shards looked amazing. It was another nice day for a walk. This is a great beach to walk and has beautiful views of Duluth.
Next we stopped for lunch at the Scenic Cafe off of Scenic Drive. It was amazing to see how much snow had piled up on their outdoor patio furniture. I had heard this place was scrumptious and it was! My dad and I both agreed we had the best tuna melt sandwiches ever. It was an adorable intimate cafe that I will definitely be revisiting.
After lunch we spent the afternoon driving the scenic route and watching the sunset at Split Rock State Park. It was spectacular to see all the ice that had formed over the rocks. The sunset lit the snow so beautifully. The crescent moon made for beautiful photos.
On the way back I wanted one last photo from Kitchi-Gammi. A night shot with stars and the Duluth city lights and it became my favorite image from the trip!
We had a wonderful time and made lasting memories!
